Types of Integration

AppBoard/enPortal offers two types of integration:

1. Product Integration Modules (PIMs) - Provide GUI-layer integration of existing application interfaces.
2. Data Adapters - Provide data-layer integration through direct connections to application databases or web services.

Obtaining Integrations

A Product Integration Module (PIM) or Data Adapter package contains all of the configuration files for implementing a product integration. In addition to the integration files, an AppBoard/enPortal product license file is also needed which supports installation of the new integration.

Perform the following steps to obtain the installation files for an integration:

1. Contact your AppBoard/enPortal vendor (or Edge sales at sales@edge-technologies.com).
2. Provide to the vendor the product name and version number for the application to be integrated into AppBoard/enPortal.
3. Download the appropriate installation and license files provided by your vendor.
4. Follow the installation instructions on the integration documentation page. See below for list of integrations and links to the documentation pages.
