There may be value in re-using an existing Stack for another project, to save the effort of re-creating the Stack from scratch. Stack Templates allow the AppBoard administrator to save all of the Boards, Widgets, and settings for a Stack to an external XML file so that they can be imported into another project.

To Create a Stack Template

1. Click "Stacks & Boards" in the left side tool palette.
2. For a Stack in the Stacks data grid, click the "Create Template" button. You can also click the floppy disk icon next to the stack you wish to use.
3. In the "New Template Name" box, enter the name to create for the template.
4. Click the "Create Template" button.

To Deploy a Stack Template

1. Click on "Add Stack" to create a new stack using the template.
2. Name the stack.
3. Select from the pulldown list the template you wish to use.
